Meet and Greet

Your adventure begins with early morning pickup from your hotel or Airbnb in La Fortuna.
Settle into a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle for a scenic 2-hour drive through the Costa Rican countryside, passing lush farmlands and small rural towns as you head toward the Tenorio Volcano region.Guests arrive at the designated meeting point.
Duration: Approximately 2 Hours.

9:00 AM :

Lets Hike

Upon arrival, you'll have time to use the restrooms and prepare for the hike. Your certified naturalist guide will lead you on a moderate 5–6 km hike (approx. 3.5 miles) through the dense tropical rainforest of Tenorio Volcano National Park.
Along the trail, you’ll experience the highlights of Río Celeste:
Río Celeste Waterfall: An iconic viewpoint to witness the intense turquoise cascade surrounded by thick jungle.
Teñideros: See the magical spot where two rivers merge and, due to volcanic minerals, create the sky-blue water.
Volcanic bubbles: Explore bubbling gases and activity deep in the forest.
Scenic viewpoints: Your guide will share insights on local wildlife, ecology, and volcanic history along the way.
The hike is considered moderate and includes sections with steps, muddy terrain, and natural uneven surfaces.
Duration: Approximately 3 Hours.

12:00 PM :

Swimming

After the hike, we’ll stop at a beautiful section of Río Celeste located outside the national park where swimming is permitted.
You'll have time to cool off in the refreshingly blue waters, take photos, or simply relax by the river.
This is a favorite spot for travelers who want to experience the river up close in a peaceful setting.
Duration: Approximately 20 min.

12:30 PM :

Lunch Break

Enjoy a hearty traditional lunch at Restaurante Tenory, a local countryside restaurant known for its authentic Costa Rican flavors and friendly service.
Vegetarian and dietary options are available upon request. After lunch, you'll have a chance to unwind before the return drive.
Duration: Approximately 1 hour.

1:30 PM :

Return to Base

After a full day of nature, hiking, and swimming, relax on the return drive and arrive back at your hotel in La Fortuna by mid-afternoon.
Surprise along the way.
Duration: Approximately 2 hours

3:30 PM :

End of Tour

Arrive back at the meeting point.
