Costa Rica Rent A Guide

Carlos was an AMAZING tour guide. We talked about what our goals were for the trip and he put together a perfect agenda. We did a chocolate/coffee tour, a riverboat wildlife cruise, Baldi hot springs, a sloth tour, volcano hike and waterfall hike. He provided safe transportation and his expertise and personality were top notch. He spotted countless wildlife we wouldn’t have seen on our own and educated us on everything he spotted. Couldn’t recommend him more highly.

The day we spent with Carlos was a highlight of our trip. Our group was me, my husband, my 26 yo son and 20 yo daughter. He might not be the cheapest guide you’ll find but he’s worth every penny. He found wildlife at Mystico Bridges that other guides were walking by without noticing. He took amazing photos for is with his scope. We learned sooooo much from him!! Second stop was the La Fortuna waterfall. Amazing. Then an amazing lunch at a local typical restaurant- one of our best meals. 3rd stop was el silencio trail hike. It started raining but that didn’t ruin our day. He also went out of his way to see sloths and snakes! If youre thinking of booking with Carlos, dont hesitate- his fee includes pick up and drop off in his new beautiful van, admission to the parks and lunch. 100% recommend!

Carlos is exceptionally friendly, informative and helpful. He drove us from Liberia to La Fortuna, included lunch, a few stops for groceries, fresh fruit & drinks. The next day was a full day of hanging bridges, nature, wildlife, volcanoes and waterfalls plus a delicious lunch at Restaurante Tiquicia. He has a knack for spotting wildlife and is a wealth of information. He is genuine, and a great person to spend the day with…we highly recommend starting your Costa Rican adventure with Carlos, we graduated to a rental vehicle and a few solo adventures: all made possible with the informative details he provided…he truly goes above and beyond! Carlos was a wonderful guide. We could not have asked for better. His knowledge of wildlife and his ability to find even the tiniest of creatures was so impressive and because of him we were able to see so many animals that we would never have found on our own. He was also a pleasure to spend time with. My kids loved him and we enjoyed talking to him and learning about his life in Costa Rica. We feel lucky to have stumbled upon such a wonderful guide and highly recommend that you book him when visiting Costa Rica.

Carlos was amazing. Never have I had a tour guide like him, honest, flexible and truly cares to make sure all of his customers get the best of the best. I came for my wedding anniversary and Carlos answered all of my questions, booked us hot springs and was flexible with my last minute requests. He went above and beyond at our hanging bridges tour. We spent the day across La Fortuna doing some hiking and swimming while looking for wildlife. If it wasn’t for Carlos, we wouldn’t have really seen anything. It honestly takes an experienced guide to find the wildlife and share the experience with our family. What an amazing time. After an amazing day, Carlos overheard one of our daughters say she wanted to see another sloth. After an incredible local lunch, Carlos was taking us back to our home and spotted a sloth and pulled over for our girls to experience it. Amazing experience.

Carlos was referred to us by our Airbnb host. He absolutely made our trip! He arranged all our excursions for the week; some with him and others without. His extensive knowledge of the area, agriculture and animals made him an invaluable source. The days we spent with him were at our own pace and he catered to our every need. We enjoyed him so much that we had dinner with him and his beautiful wife on our last night in town. I highly recommend booking with Carlos for a most enjoyable experience!
